Walk in Love, Honour or Memory of Someone Special to you.

We are delighted to announce that we have organised a very special Forget Me Not 3k walk on July 7th in Pontypridd. This wonderful event aims to bring together everyone who has been affected by cancer, to walk in love, honour or memory of someone special to you.

This event will be a short summer walk on a flat service and accessible to everyone of all ages and abilities, so please come and join us, we would love to see you all there shining for someone special!

This walk has been inspired by Ambassador Wayne Griffiths and his wife Jane who continue to fundraise for Velindre in memory of their beautiful daughter Rhian.

“We – Rhian’s family – are trying to honour her wishes and commemorate her life by continuing with our fundraising efforts for Velindre. Our hope for the future is that research will fund a way to cure cancer so than no one will have to go through what Rhian did, and no family will have to witness their loved ones suffering; and that Velindre will continue to develop their support for patients and their families, providing a centre of excellence in the treatment of all types of cancer.” Wayne Griffiths

All money raised will provide vital funds towards improving cancer treatment and care here at Velindre.
