Who are you wearing Red for?
Our annual Wear Red for Wales and Velindre campaign, proudly sponsored by Peters, is returning on Friday the 31st of January 2025 and we need your support!
This fun campaign invites schools, businesses, and individuals across Wales to wear something red and donate £1 to support Velindre and cheer on our international rugby teams as they kick off their opening Six Nations match.
By taking part, you’ll help raise crucial funds and awareness for the charity and the vital work we do for cancer patients and their families across Wales.

Mae ein hymgyrch blynyddol Gwisgo Coch i Gymru a Felindre, wedi hyrwyddo gan Peters, yn dychwelyd ar Ddydd Gwener y 31ain o Ionawr 2025 ac rydym angen eich cymorth!
Mae’r ymgyrch hwyl yma yn gwahodd ysgolion, busnesau ac unigolion ar draws Cymru i wisgo rhywbeth coch a rhoi £1 mewn cefnogaeth o Felindre ac annog ein timau rygbi cenedlaethol wrth iddynt gynnal gem gyntaf y twrnamaint Chwe Gwlad.
Trwy gymryd rhan, fyddwch yn help codi arian ac ymwybyddiaeth angenrheidiol i’r elusen a’r gwaith rydym yn eu gwneud a chleifion canser a’i theuluoedd ledled Cymru.

By participating, you’re helping us make a real difference. Last year, our Wear Red campaign raised an amazing, record-breaking £80,000 for Velindre!
These funds allow us to continue supporting impactful projects at the cancer centre, from specialist nursing roles to groundbreaking clinical trials. None of this would be possible without the dedication and generosity of our amazing fundraisers.
Since 1999, Velindre has proudly funded a range of children’s services, specially designed to support the unique needs of children and families facing a cancer diagnosis.

Trwy gymryd rhan, rydych chi’n ein helpu ni i wneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol. Llynedd, cododd ein hymgyrch Gwisgo Goch swm anhygoel o £80,000 i Felindre!
Mae’r cronfeydd hyn yn ein galluogi i barhau i gefnogi prosiectau sy’n cael effaith yn y ganolfan ganser, o rolau nyrsio arbenigol i dreialon clinigol. Ni fyddai dim o hyn yn bosibl heb ymroddiad a haelioni ein codwyr arian anhygoel.
Ers 1999, mae Felindre wedi bod yn falch o ariannu ystod o wasanaethau plant, wedi’u cynllunio’n arbennig i gefnogi anghenion unigryw plant a theuluoedd sy’n wynebu diagnosis o ganser.
These services include:
- A dedicated family room where families can create lasting memories in a comforting, non clinical environment.
- Worry monster teddies, which help children communicate with adults during emotionally challenging times.
- Memory boxes that offer children a safe space to collect special items and creatively process a loved one’s diagnosis.
- Lomu lion teddies, providing comfort to families as they navigate uncertain times.
- A range of children’s storybooks, written by our Supportive Care Lead Nurse Michele Pengelly, that help families explain cancer and caregiving to children in an accessible way.
Mae’r gwasanaethau hyn yn cynnwys:
- Ystafell deulu lle gall teuluoedd greu atgofion parhaol mewn amgylchedd cysurus, anghlinigol.
- Tedis bwystfil pryderus, sy’n helpu plant i gyfathrebu ag oedolion yn ystod cyfnod emosiynol heriol.
- Blychau cof sy’n cynnig lle diogel i blant gasglu eitemau arbennig a phrosesu’n greadigol ddiagnosis anwyliaid.
- Tedis Llewod Lomu, yn rhoi cysur i deuluoedd wrth iddynt ddod o hyd i amseroedd ansicr.
- Ystod o lyfrau stori i blant, a ysgrifennwyd gan ein Nyrs Arweiniol Gofal Cefnogol Michele Pengelly, sy’n helpu teuluoedd i egluro canser a gofal i blant mewn ffordd hygyrch.
With the funds raised from Wear Red 2025, we aim to expand our children’s resources further. We plan to grow our series of children’s books to include topics about grandparents, extended family members, and resources for schools – ensuring that we provide essential education and support to children when they need it most.
Gyda’r arian a godwyd o ymgrych Gwisgo Coch 2025, ein nod yw ehangu ein hadnoddau plant ymhellach. Rydym yn bwriadu tyfu ein cyfres o lyfrau plant i gynnwys pynciau am neiniau a theidiau, aelodau’r teulu estynedig, ac adnoddau i ysgolion—gan sicrhau ein bod yn darparu addysg a chymorth hanfodol i blant pan fyddant ei angen fwyaf.
